Meet the person behind the artwork and discuss their vision of our contemporary and future society. After an intriguing talk with the artist at the Museum Arts Brasserie, you are invited to (re)discover the other 70 works in the exhibition 2050. A Brief History of the Future (

Saturday the 5th of December, we're welcoming Maarten Vanden Eynde, Belgian artist born in Leuven and living and working in Brussels. In his work "Plastic Reef" (2008-2012), Vanden Eynde conferred a new and paradoxical beauty to the waste while also attracting our attention to the twin catastrophes of the pollution of the oceans and the disappearance of coral. A wake-up call for our future? Quoting the artist: "My work is situated exactly on the borderline between the past and the future; sometimes looking forward to the future of yesterday, sometimes looking back to the history of tomorrow."
