Museum Night Fever Dance, Poetry, Music and Fashion at the Fin-de-Siècle Museum

Late night opening

This year, the Royal Museums of Fine Arts honour dance, poetry and fashion in the Fin-de-Siècle Museum!

Dressed by the student-stylists of Saint-Luc (evening course), the very young dancers of the Brussels’ “Kunsthumaniora Muziek en Woord” will evoke the excitement felt at the end of the 19th century, a pivotal period rich in artistic genius, making way for modernity.

The poetic performers of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels will take us on an enchanting musical journey full of Realism, Symbolism and Impressionism seen through the eyes of literary giants such as Baudelaire, Zola, Verlaine, Rimbaud, Verhaeren, …

Who said the 19th century was heavy, boring or decadent?

Programme:
19:00 – 19:45 dance
19:45 – 20:30 poetic recital
20:30 – 21:15 dance
21:15 – 22:00 poetic recital
22:00 – 22:45 dance
22:45 – 23:30 poetic recital

We would also like to thank our partners in this project: Midis de la Poésie, Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles, Kunsthumaniora Muziek en Woord Brussel, Cours du soir en Stylisme à Saint-Luc Bruxelles and of course the Brussels Museums Council!
