Abduction of Europe - Pierre-Joseph C. François

"Living Sculpture" is a show made by contemporary dance artists Aldina Michelle Topgaci and Joel Suarez Gomez.

During the performance, the two dancers and cellist William Garfield Walker enter into a dialogue with the neo-classical works that are exhibited in the museum. Their fluid movements evoke the idea of "living statues", while the music offers you a new way of experiencing art.

This performance is an initiative of the Royal Museums' Maecenas Circle in the context of the recent purchase of the neoclassical painting "The Abduction of Europe" (1810) by Pierre-Joseph Célestin.
