Visual Thinking Strategies (EN)
Two day starter training
>

VTS (Visual Thinking Strategies) invites individuals to engage in pleasant and meaningful encounters with art and with each other. During this training, you will develop the basic skills to initiate and facilitate VTS discussions. We combine theory, practice, and coaching while engaging with artworks of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium in Brussels.
For whom:
This training is for you if you want to make a positive difference through interaction with art when working with groups, regardless your profession (art professional, caregiver, therapist, social worker, teacher, etc). VTS offers a powerful tool to foster aesthetic development, visual literacy, critical thinking, dialogue, inclusion, and (mental) well-being. No prior knowledge of art is required.
After this training:
• You will understand the theory behind VTS.
• You will understand its impact on your target group(s).
• You will know the technique’s underlying mechanisms.
• You will have taken your first steps as a VTS facilitator guided by an experienced coach.
You will leave equipped with the essential skills to confidently start applying VTS on your own!
