Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium

The Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium preserve two works that mark this artistic trajectory. One of them, Néoflexibles 2, has not been shown to the public for many years and will be exceptionally presented on this occasion.

As part of the Collection Meets programme, the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium create dialogues between their collections and those of other collectors – in this instance, several original works by Tapta come from the collection of Maurice Verbaet and from another private collection.This edition brings together Tapta and Donald Judd (1928–1994), two artists of the same generation who, on opposite sides of the Atlantic, each contributed to rethinking the relationship to space while working with industrial materials.

This encounter forms part of a broader project aimed at bringing renewed visibility to the Royal Museums’ remarkable collection of modern and contemporary art.
