36 pieces from our collections on loan to the Félicien Rops Museum in Namur
Published on 10.04.2025
As part of the exhibition ‘Constantin Meunier : La genèse d'une image’ organised by the Musée Félicien Rops, 36 pieces from the collections of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium have been loaned. Davy Depelchin, curator at the RMFAB, is co-curator of the exhibition.
The exhibition will run from 12 April to 7 September 2025 and will highlight a little-known facet of Meunier's life: his work as an illustrator and his commitment to printmaking.
Paintings, sculptures, engravings and drawings will explore Meunier's influence on artists such as Auguste Danse, Karl Meunier and Maximilien Luce. An area will also be devoted to his literary collaborations, illustrating major works from his period.
This loan is part of the RMFAB’s commitment to promoting its collections through collaboration with other cultural institutions. It's an opportunity to rediscover Meunier in a whole new light! If you're interested in his world, the Meunier Museum is open to the public free of charge. Plan your visit to the Meunier Museum here.
