The iconic masterpiece from the RMFAB collections, The Death of Marat by Jacques-Louis David, will be temporarily absent from Brussels until the end of January 2026.
No worries — it’s for an exceptional occasion! The painting is on loan to the Louvre Museum (Paris) for a major exhibition, reflecting the close collaboration between our two institutions.
On view at the Louvre from 15 October 2025.
Back at the Old Masters Museum in early February 2026 !
