Good news for art lovers and the curious: René Magritte's iconic apple, already admired last year, will soon be making a comeback on the roof of the Musée Magritte!

This surrealist symbol, directly inspired by the poetic and mysterious works of the Belgian master, will once again be towering over the Mont des Arts and Place Royale. Installed to mark Magritte's birthday, this monumental work also marks the end of the centenary year of Surrealism. It has become a truly original landmark in the Brussels landscape.

A monumental work, a tribute to Surrealism

Visible from afar, this giant apple is much more than a visual landmark. It embodies the imaginative, surrealist spirit of René Magritte, and invites visitors to rediscover his unique world in the Musée Magritte. This emblematic place, dedicated to one of Belgium's greatest artists, offers a fascinating plunge into the imaginary world of surrealism.

A project made possible by the National Lottery

The return of this installation would not have been possible without the invaluable support of the Loterie nationale. Thanks to their generosity, this symbol of the Belgian icon's world can once again hang over the heart of Brussels, reminding us of René Magritte's essential role in Belgian and world artistic heritage.
