Historical Archives
The portal of the Historical Archives of the RMFAB provides access to the historical archive collections (19th - early 20th century) held in the institutional archives of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts.
The portal includes descriptions of the various collections open to the public (the Museum Collection and other collections of individuals, organizations or associated events), associated inventories (written in French only), and digitized images.
More than 14,000 archive files and some thirty registers, digitised as part of the DIGIT-03 program (2014-2018), are now accessible online.
The portal is in beta phase, and the inventories and descriptions of the holdings will be progressively completed. The DIGIT-04 program (2019-2024) will enrich the digitised collections accessible online over the next five years.
