Legacies & Donations Turn your generosity into a legacy for the future.

By giving or leaving a legacy, you contribute to building tomorrow’s heritage.

You can support:

  • the preservation and restoration of a unique cultural heritage
  • the acquisition of artworks to enrich the museum’s collection from the 15th to the 21st century
  • educational and inclusion programs designed to support and engage all audiences
  • scientific research related to the collection
To do so, several options are available:

 

  • Make a donation

From €40 onwards, your donation is tax‑deductible.

You can make a bank transfer to the account BE25 6790 0495 5282 / BIC GEBABEBB with the reference “donation”, or fill in our form.

To receive a 30% tax deduction on donations of €40 or more, please complete the form and return it to julie.scaillet@fine-arts-museum.be.

 

  • Include the RMFAB in your will

Give new meaning to your legacy by extending your commitment to the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.

Depending on your family situation and place of residence, several options are available. Some may also offer tax advantages for heirs who are not reserved beneficiaries.

  • Prepare a meaningful bequest

With a bequest by will or a duo bequest, you make a lasting contribution to the mission of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium by transferring part of your estate to them.

A duo bequest allows the RMFAB to cover the inheritance taxes owed by your heirs, in accordance with the conditions set out in current legislation.

Bequests made to the RMFAB, a federal scientific institution, may be exempt from inheritance tax. To determine the solution best suited to your situation, we recommend consulting your notary.

Note that a bequest is transferred after death, whereas a donation is made during the donor’s lifetime.

 

100% of your support dedicated to your chosen project

Your generosity makes a real difference: 100% of your donation is allocated to the RMFAB project you choose.

The RMFAB benefit from an exemption regime for donation and inheritance taxes (subject to confirmation according to the applicable legislation).
